Liberals feel... that the United States government should support illegal immigrants through "blanket amnesty" policies. They feel that illegal immigrants have the right to health and education rights, including financial aid, welfare, social security, and Medicaid. Liberals want rights for American citizens and believe that it is not right to arrest undocumented immigrants based on profiling. In terms of border security, liberals feel that random security checks are the only way to create additionally safe environments in a fair and equal manner.
Conservatives feel... that the United States government should only support legal immigration. They do not want illegal immigrants to have any rights, or to take away opportunities that are rightfully given to legal citizens. Conservatives feel that the issue of border security should be tackled before tackling the issue of illegal immigrants living in the country. They also dislike the idea of randomly choosing passengers for additional security searches, as that does not adequately protect the nation. Conservatives believe that profiling and intelligence information should be used in order to choose individuals who are considered "high risks" to security and that profiling is the only logical and reliable method of security.
